Jupiter, the fifth planet from the Sun, reigns supreme as the largest and most magnificent planet in our solar system.
With its stunning bands of colorful clouds, an entourage of intriguing moons, and its role as a cosmic guardian, Jupiter has captivated the human imagination for centuries.
Jupiter is a colossus, boasting a diameter of approximately 139,822 kilometers, more than 11 times that of Earth. This immense size makes it a gas giant, primarily composed of hydrogen and helium, similar to the composition of the early Sun. Beneath its outer layers, Jupiter houses a massive core of heavy elements, which scientists believe to be about 20 times the mass of Earth.
