Lipstick is probably the one thing I’ll still put on even when I tell myself I’m not wearing makeup that day. It just makes me feel a bit more awake, a bit more… finished, I guess.
Lately I’ve been switching between two that sit on opposite ends of the vibe spectrum, and somehow that’s what makes them both work.

Chanel Rouge Coco Bloom Lipstick

This one feels a little more “done,” but not in a strict or heavy way. The color shows up right away, which I like, because I don’t have to keep layering to get somewhere. There’s a slight shine to it, but it’s not too glossy—just enough to keep it from looking flat. I usually reach for this when I want to look like I put in effort, even if the rest of my makeup is barely there. It has that quiet polished feel, like everything is in place without being too obvious about it.

YSL Rouge Volupté Shine Lipstick

This one is the opposite in the best way. It’s easy, almost careless. I don’t even think when I apply it—I just swipe and go. The color is softer, more like a tint that catches the light a little. It reminds me of those days when you’re out longer than you planned and keep reapplying without a mirror. It never feels like too much, which is probably why I end up carrying it around everywhere.
I don’t think I could pick one over the other, honestly. Some days I want that slightly more put-together look, other days I just want something simple that I don’t have to think about. It really depends on my mood… or how rushed I am. They kind of balance each other out in my routine without trying to do the same thing.
